LAVORIS L. HOLLOWAY, PASTOR GCI CLAYTON
LaVoris Lyntreal Holloway was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. As a seasoned Minister of the Gospel he has ministered throughout the Southern region, Metropolitan Atlanta area, and internationally in the country of Malawi, Africa. His style is expository in nature with strong revelatory overtones. Pastor Holloway’s great sensitivity to the needs of others coupled with the gift of mercy allows him to both empower and encourage God’s people toward a triumphant living experience. LaVoris operates under a pastoral and prophetic anointing colored by a dynamic exhortation.
Pastor Holloway is an ordained Elder and licensed Minister of Grace Church International World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia where he’s been a pioneering member since its inception in 1992. He currently serves as Elder of Pastoral Care and Counseling, and previously as Youth Pastor at Grace Church International from 1994 to 2001. He was licensed to preach in 1996 and ordained in 2002 by Bishop Johnathan E. Alvarado and the Eldership of Total Grace. In 2002 he provided direct oversight as Lead Elder for the satellite location of Total Grace - Clayton (Rex, Georgia). On November 1, 2009 Pastor Holloway was installed as Senior Pastor of Total Grace Christian Center-Clayton. Having been yoked in his teenage years with Bishop Alvarado, LaVoris has the unique experience of being mentored by one of the most prolific orators of the Gospel. His passionate desire to see the whole man developed, led him to earn an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology at Georgia Perimeter College (’97).
He also earned his Associate of Arts (‘98) and Bachelor of Arts Degrees (‘00) in Biblical Education at Beulah Heights University and a Masters Degree (‘03) in Christian Counseling from Luther Rice University. He is currently enrolled in Beulah Heights University pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. Pastor Holloway is certified by the Evangelical Training Association as a Teacher of Biblical Studies and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, Georgia from 2005 in the Leadership Department. He is also a member of the Clayton County Ministers Conference, the Forest Park Ministers Association and Council Member at Browns Mill Elementary School. In fact, Pastor Holloway is committed to a lifestyle of learning. In effect, studying to show himself approved as a workman that definitely need not be ashamed as he effectively ministers the word of God.
Pastor Holloway possesses the soul of an evangelist, not willing that any should perish. A shepherd’s heart – tenderly watching over the flock, he is compassionate, concerned and caring at every turn, and completely available to the will and leading of the Holy Spirit. He is a man with a mission and an anointed vessel of God standing in the gap, ready to take the world for Christ.
Pastor LaVoris Holloway is the proud husband of one wife – the lovely NaTasha Peek. Together they have two spirit-filled and energetic children - Moriah Danielle and JaVoris Emmanuel.
